Common questions
Do I need to fast?
For most people, no. Modern lipid profiles are read without fasting. If your pharmacist asks you to fast, it is water only for 10 to 12 hours beforehand.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. Adults can book a private blood test directly. We can share the results with your GP if you would like us to.
How is the sample taken?
From a vein in your arm, by a trained member of our team, in the private consultation room. It takes a few minutes.
How do I get my results?
We contact you when the laboratory reports, usually within the turnaround shown on the card, and a pharmacist explains them. You get a copy to keep.
