Who gets a free NHS flu jab in 2026/27
The NHS list for this season, checked on 18 September 2026. Vaccination starts on 1 October 2026, or 1 September 2026 if you are pregnant. Everyone else can book a private flu jab for £25 from age 9.
- Aged 65 or over, including anyone turning 65 by 31 March 2027
- Aged 18 to 64 with a long-term condition: lung, heart, kidney or liver disease, a neurological condition, diabetes, a weakened immune system, spleen problems, a learning disability, or a BMI of 40 or above
- Pregnant
- Living in a care home
- The main carer for an older or disabled person, or receiving carer’s allowance
- Living with someone who has a weakened immune system
- Experiencing homelessness
- Frontline health and social care workers, through their employer
- Children aged 2 to 17: the NHS child flu vaccine, booked through the NHS route on this page

NHS flu vaccination for adults
For eligible adults aged 18 or over. Most appointments start from 1 October 2026. Pregnant people can be vaccinated from 1 September.

Common questions
Can I have flu and COVID-19 vaccinations together?
Yes. If you are eligible for both and both are clinically suitable and available, they can be given at the same appointment. Eligibility is checked separately for each vaccination.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome Monday to Friday during opening hours. Availability can change, so booking ahead or calling before travelling is recommended.
What if I feel unwell?
If you have a high temperature or feel very unwell, wait until you feel better and rearrange your appointment.
Does booking guarantee vaccination?
No. A trained healthcare professional will confirm eligibility, consent and clinical suitability before vaccination.
