Blister Packs — Your Questions Answered
How much does the Blister Pack service cost?
The service is £25 per month, or £270 per year if paid annually (saving 10%). The in-store assessment before enrolment is free. Prescription charges from the NHS apply separately — free if you qualify for an exemption.
Why does the pharmacy charge for this now?
Blister pack preparation used to be funded for some patients, but NHS funding for this service has been reduced. To keep offering it properly — with qualified pharmacist checks and delivery — we introduced a low monthly subscription. It stays optional: traditional dispensing remains free as usual.
Do I need a referral or prescription to start?
No referral needed. You just need to book a free in-store assessment. Our pharmacist will review your medications and explain the process. You keep your current GP relationship and prescriptions exactly as they are.
What’s included in the subscription?
Weekly pre-packed blister packs, pharmacist-led checks on every pack, monthly pickup or free local delivery, GP prescription coordination, and ongoing support if medications change or you have questions.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly subscribers can cancel at any time with no fees. Annual subscribers can cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused months. Just let us know in person, by phone or email.
What if my medication changes?
Just tell us — no extra charge. We update the blister pack system as soon as your GP authorises the new prescription, and the next pack reflects the change.
