What is Yellow Fever?
A serious viral infection transmitted by mosquitoes in tropical regions of Africa and South America
Caused by a virus transmitted through the bite of infected Aedes or Haemagogus mosquitoes, primarily found in tropical regions of Africa and South America.
Symptoms include fever, headache, jaundice (yellowing of skin), muscle pain, nausea, and vomiting. Severe cases can cause organ failure.
There’s no specific treatment for yellow fever, but the vaccine provides excellent protection. A single dose offers lifetime immunity.
Found across sub-Saharan Africa and tropical South America, including popular destinations like Kenya, Brazil, Peru, and Colombia.

Yellow fever occurs naturally in 47 countries across sub-Saharan Africa and tropical South America. Many other countries worldwide require proof of vaccination if you’re arriving from these yellow fever zones.
Africa — 34 Endemic Countries
Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest concentration of yellow fever risk countries, including popular safari and adventure destinations.

Yellow fever vaccination must be given at least 10 days before travel. The certificate becomes valid 10 days after vaccination. We recommend booking as early as possible to ensure you’re protected before your departure.
